Terms of UseLast updated

The platform and these terms.

These Terms of Use govern access to Refinelook’s website, customer features and professional workspaces, operated by Refinelook, inc. By using the service, you agree to these rules to the extent an enforceable agreement can be formed under applicable law.

The Terms of Service cover customer bookings, salon subscriptions, SMS, AI and processing on a salon’s behalf. The Privacy policy explains personal-information handling. A salon’s disclosed service policies apply to its appointments. Mandatory rights under applicable law continue to apply.

Eligibility and authority.

You must be able to enter a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. If you act for a salon or another organization, you must have authority to accept these terms and manage the information and accounts involved. A parent, guardian or authorized adult must arrange a minor’s use where that authority is required; salon-specific age and guardian rules also apply.

Accounts, staff access & recovery.

Provide accurate account, contact and business information and keep it current. Protect your password, verification codes and connected accounts. Use individual staff access with appropriate roles rather than sharing an owner’s credentials. Salon owners must review staff permissions and remove access that is no longer needed.

Use the available sign-in recovery and verification steps if you lose access. Report suspected unauthorized access through the platform contact above once supplied. We may verify identity or authority before restoring access; a public stylist profile alone does not grant workspace access.

Permitted use and prohibited conduct.

Customers may discover salons, request and manage visits, communicate and share relevant references and reviews. Authorized professionals may manage their salon’s services, schedules, team, client records and communications within their permissions.

  1. Do not commit fraud, impersonate another person, misrepresent authority, or use the service for unlawful activity.
  2. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate unlawfully, send spam, manipulate reviews or publish unlawful or infringing material.
  3. Do not bypass authentication, access another salon’s records, scrape private information, introduce malicious software or interfere with service availability.
  4. Do not sell, misuse or import customer information without permission, use imported contacts as assumed marketing consent, or upload private material unrelated to the requested service.
  5. Do not evade subscription, usage or permission limits or misuse connected services and AI features.

Platform ownership.

Refinelook and its licensors retain rights in the platform software, design, branding and service materials. Subject to these terms and any applicable plan, you may use the platform for its intended functions. These terms do not transfer ownership of platform intellectual property. Rights provided by applicable law, including permitted uses of software, are not excluded.

Your content and your permissions.

You retain your rights in content you submit and must have permission to share it. You give Refinelook the permissions needed to host, store, process, format and deliver that content for the purpose you selected and to secure and administer the service.

Permissions follow the content’s purpose
ContentPermission
Salon galleries and public profilesHost and display the material publicly as part of the salon or professional profile.
Reviews and review photosPublish your chosen review material and perform necessary moderation.
Private consultation photos, attachments and messagesProcess and share with authorized participants for the consultation or requested service and other specifically disclosed lawful purposes. This is not a public advertising license.
Promotional reuse of private customer photosRequires separate, specific permission from the relevant rights holders and people whose consent is required. Using Refinelook or booking a visit does not supply that permission.

Removing content can affect future display, subject to records reasonably needed for an unresolved dispute, security or a legal obligation. Public copies others lawfully received and independent provider records may have separate lifecycles.

Reviews, reports & moderation.

Reviews must reflect a real experience and follow the applicable eligibility rules. Do not fabricate experiences, offer undisclosed incentives, or publish private information about other people. We may review reports and restrict or remove material that violates these terms or applicable law.

Use an available reporting control or the content-report contact in the operator section once supplied. Include a link or booking reference, the reason and any relevant evidence. To challenge a moderation or account decision, identify the decision and explain what should be reconsidered through the same contact. We may ask for more information and provide a response, subject to legal or security limits on what we can disclose.

Third-party services and AI.

Maps, payments, email, phone and AI functions may use third-party providers described in the Privacy policy. A salon that connects a provider must have authority to do so and follow that provider’s terms. Provider availability and account configuration can affect a feature. Refinelook does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party material or AI outputs; review outputs and confirm proposed actions before relying on them.

Restriction, termination & support.

We may restrict content, features or accounts when reasonably needed to address a terms breach, fraud, unauthorized access, security risk or legal obligation. Where appropriate and permitted, we provide notice and an opportunity to resolve or challenge the issue. Urgent protection may require action first.

You may stop using the service, cancel a subscription through its billing controls and request data deletion separately. Restricting access does not itself cancel appointments or settle payments. Use the contacts in the operator section for recovery, an export request or an appeal after access ends; salon service issues remain with the salon.

Changes, notices & legal rights.

The date on this page identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or the account contact where required, with additional agreement obtained where required. Subscription price changes follow the Terms of Service. Maintain a working account contact so notices can reach you.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but availability and error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Salons are responsible for the salon services they provide. Each party remains responsible to the extent required by applicable law; nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Raise a dispute with the party responsible for the issue and include the relevant records. These terms do not add mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, a contractual liability cap or an exclusive court venue. Governing-law and business-address details have not been specified; the rules that apply by law are preserved.
