Find your starting point.
Refinelook connects the client booking experience with the people running the salon. Choose the path that matches what you want to do today.
- Clients: open Salons to explore the directory. Discover is the inspiration home; My Hair brings your appointments and account together.
- Salon owners and stylists: choose Get started, select your professional type, and complete the verification shown during signup. Returning professionals can log in.
- Use the right workspace: your available tools depend on your account type, salon connection, and permissions. A team profile created by an owner does not, by itself, give someone a login.
A salon that’s close. A style that’s you.
- Open Salons. The directory pairs salon cards with an interactive map. Select a card or map marker to explore a salon.
- Allow location access when your browser asks to center the map near you. If location is unavailable, the map starts with a United States overview. You can still explore without sharing your location.
- Search by salon, service, stylist, or location and use the available filters. Text search checks the directory beyond the current map area. To browse a different area, clear the text search, move the map, and choose Search this area when it appears.
- On a salon page, review its photographs, location, hours, service menu, stylist profiles, and published reviews. Choose Book now when booking is available.
- Save salons you want to revisit with the save control. Sign in to keep your shortlist in My Hair → Saved salons.
From “this one” to your next appointment.
- Services: choose the service or services you need. Read the price, duration, consultation requirements, and any question used to determine appointment length.
- Stylist: choose from the professionals available for your selected services. Prices can differ by stylist.
- Booking for more than one person: use Add guest when the salon allows it. Enter each person’s name, services, and stylist, then check everyone’s schedule and references before submitting. The salon sets the party-size limit.
- Date & time: select an available slot. Times reflect working hours, existing appointments, service duration, and preparation or cleanup time. Check the displayed salon timezone.
- Reference: add current-hair photos, inspiration images, and consultation notes where offered. Upload only images you have permission to share.
- Review & submit: check contact details, selected services, price, deposit instructions, and salon policies. Complete the sign-in and contact-verification steps the booking flow shows.
- Check the result: a requested appointment is not yet confirmed. Treat it as confirmed only when the appointment status says Confirmed.
Keep the details close.
- Open My Hair and select an appointment to see its services, references, policy, payment information, and current status. Sign in with the account used for the booking.
- Use the actions available on the appointment to request a change or cancel. Availability, timing restrictions, and salon policies affect which actions you see. Review the resulting status after submitting.
- If the salon proposes a change that needs your response, review and accept or decline it in the appointment flow. A message about a new time does not by itself confirm a reschedule.
- Use Chats for conversations with the salon and check Notifications for appointment updates. Email or SMS updates depend on the account, salon settings, and delivery availability.
- After an eligible completed visit, follow the review action to leave salon or stylist feedback. Ratings, text, and any review photos you publish can appear publicly.
Build your salon’s home.
- Create a professional account as a Salon owner and complete verification and salon setup. Check the salon name, address, booking phone, reply-to email, and timezone in Business settings.
- Open Salon home to add your featured photography. The gallery supports up to nine images, with the first three featured. Gallery changes save automatically; wait for the save status before leaving.
- In Team, add the stylist profiles you manage, including yourself if you provide services. To connect a registered professional, share your salon code and review their connection request before accepting it.
- In Services, create categories and services with names, prices, durations, and the relevant consultation or deposit requirements. Assign qualified stylists and review any stylist-specific pricing.
- Open Calendar, then choose Working hours in the Schedule page. Set salon hours and stylist availability, then add breaks, time off, and date exceptions. A service needs both qualified staff and usable availability to produce bookable times.
- Review Search visibility in Business settings and follow its eligibility guidance. Check the public salon page and booking journey before sharing its link with clients.

Your work, connected to your team.
- Create or sign in to a professional account as a stylist. Complete the profile and verification steps shown for your account.
- To join an existing salon, enter the salon code supplied by its owner. Wait for the salon to review and accept your connection request.
- Once connected, use the workspace tools made available to you for appointments, working hours, messages, services, and your professional profile. You can connect to more than one salon; check which salon is active before making changes.
- Review profile details and service assignments with the owner. Salon permissions determine which customer records, prices, team settings, and bookings you can change.
- If a tool or salon is missing, check your active workspace and connection status. Ask the owner to check your role and service assignments.
Make your account work for you.
- In My Hair → Settings, review your contact and hair-profile details and preferred language. Browser location permissions are managed separately in your browser.
- Choose Download my data to generate an account export in JSON format. Store that file somewhere private: it can contain personal and appointment information.
- Choose Request account deletion to submit a request. Your account remains available while the request is processed; this action is not an immediate deletion.
- Salon owners can download salon data from Business settings. Delete salon is a separate, permanent salon action with explicit confirmations; it does not delete customer or team accounts.
Read the Privacy policy for information categories, service providers, visibility, and account controls.
A little help, right when you need it.
The map is not showing my area.
Check your browser’s location permission for Refinelook, then use the location control again. If your device cannot provide a location, explore the United States overview or search another area. A blocked map service or an unavailable network can prevent map tiles from loading.
There are no appointment times.
Try another date, stylist, or service combination. Slots depend on service duration, assigned stylists, working hours, buffers, and other appointments. Contact the salon using the details on its profile if you need help finding a time.
My appointment still says Requested.
The salon may need to review your request or verify a deposit. Read the appointment details and messages. A request, payment made outside Refinelook, or proposed change should not be treated as confirmed until the status says Confirmed.
My salon is missing from customer search.
Owners should check Search visibility and eligibility guidance in Business settings, then review profile completeness, services, staff assignments, and availability.
I cannot find a professional tool.
Check that you are signed in to the right professional account and salon workspace, and that the salon has accepted your connection. The owner can review your role and permissions.
I did not receive a verification message.
Check the email address or phone number you entered and your spam folder. Use the resend option when available and follow any displayed cooldown. Never share your verification code.
